How Do I Know If I Have Mice or Rats?
- Noises in attic or sub-floor areas, usually in the late night or early morning you will hear scampering or scratching noises in your ceiling or floor areas.
- Rodent droppings in less trafficked areas of the property, sub areas, storage areas, attic areas and the like.
- Visible signs of chewing or gnawing on stored goods, signs of chewed holes or small areas of forced entry.
- Fleas or mites can be brought in by rodents. This is especially apparent in homes with no dogs, cats or other pets.
What we can do to help.
Exclusion (Rodent Proofing)
Exclusion is the process of sealing up points of entry for rodents. When your inspector arrives on site to inspect your home, he will think like a rat to find any areas of entry. Cheesy sounding, but that's pretty much it. Some rodents can fit through holes as small as the girth of a pencil, so a thorough inspection is ideal.
Once the inspection is complete, the inspector will show you where the rodents are coming in from and explain how the situation should be corrected as well as provide a written estimate of the work that needs to be performed. You will also receive a written report detailing all findings and pricing.
Pricing for Exclusion
The pricing is completely dependent upon how much work needs to be done. The quantity and size of any openings plays the largest role in the overall price. Each finding factors into getting you an accurate cost. Just give us a call or get a quote online for fast and accurate pricing.
Dead animal search
Unfortunately it is not uncommon to have a dead rodent inside of the walls or sub-areas of your home, putting off a foul stench and infesting your home with maggots and flies. This can be a serious health hazard. Our trained professionals seek out and remove any animal carcasses from your home.
Trapping
This is the most effective and longstanding form of rodent control. First the property is verified that it has been properly proofed against rodent entry. Traps are then placed in inconspicuous locations throughout the infested areas. The quantity and locations depend upon each area and level of infestation. After the traps are set we will need to come back 2 more times to reset and refill bait for the traps. These visits are typically spaced 3-5 days apart. It is best to schedule all of your trap checks and services at once in the beginning of the process.
Pricing for Trapping
Pricing is entirely dependent upon the property, location and number of return trips needed and level of infestation.
Bait Stations
Bait stations are a really cost effective way of controlling Rodent populations for the exterior of a property. However, you want to ensure that your property is effectively sealed and proofed before moving forward with bait stations. This will ensure that you don't find any rodent carcasses inside your property.
